Jeff’s Swim Profile

About Jeff

I have been swimming all of my life.  Beginning competitively in 1998 at the age of seven for Poole Swimming Club and experienced success at a high level of competition throughout my youth.  I have always been extremely enthusiastic and fascinated by competitive sport in general but primarily swimming.  I remember watching the Sydney Olympics in 2000 and being captivated by the incredible racing there, and continue to be inspired by these phenomenal feats of performance time and again, most recently witnessed in London 2012.

Fourteen years after starting, I am still zealously swimming to this day, fine tuning my technique and building greater speed and stamina.  You never stop learning, no matter what level you are at.

Seeking to share my comprehensive knowledge of the sport with others, to mentor them and unlock their absolute potential; I began teaching in 2010. I attained an STA Level 2 Full Teaching qualification and fast went about amassing considerable experience in a compact, intensive time-frame.

I have been teaching here at Broadstone since early 2012 and it has been both an immensely enjoyable and successful period.  I look forward to the continued pursuit of excellence for both myself and the centre.

Driven by a conviction to combine technical wisdom with dynamic energy and fun, I always endeavour to teach swimming lessons that are both mentally and physically stimulating, regardless of age or talent.
