I joined The Junction, Broadstone in December 2015 as a Receptionist then started assisting with swim lessons until I completed my level 2 STA  Teachers Award and I now teach my own private lessons.

I am passionated about teaching children such an important life skill and gain such pleasure when they first swim unaided or learn a new stroke or water skill.

I have three children who I enjoy paddleboarding, kayaking and swimming with.

ONE TO ONE PRIVATE SWIMMING LESSONS

I have been teaching for 25 years now and was voted the first Swimming Teachers Association STA Starfish/Huggies little swimmers “Swimming Teacher” of the month 12/08.

I am compassionate and passionate about introducing all ages and abilities into the wonderful world of Swimming, I love the water and share this with my Husband and children with surfing, paddle boarding canoeing, kayaking etc.

Both myself and my children were Dorset County Swimmers, so I can include training methods into lessons too.

Aqua-Babe was established in 1997 and over the years I have taught many babies, toddlers and pre-school children and now I am having the wonderful and exciting pleasure of teaching their babies.

I also support adults and children with special needs.

It is amazing to watch the growth from a 6 week old in the water to then joining the Junction Academy as swimmers and for some going onto Club Swimming, the rewards I get from teaching swimming are too numerous to mention.

Living where we do, " water confidence" is so, so important.
